Baku (4 days)

DAY 1 

Arrival in Baku Meeting at El. Venizelos and direct flight from Athens at 23:10. Arrival in Baku at dawn and reception by the Greek-speaking guide and transfer to the hotel. Check-in at the rooms and rest after the trip. Overnight stay in Baku.

DAY 2 

Baku city tour After breakfast, we start our tour of the historic Old City of Baku, which is a UNESCO listed city. We wander through its picturesque streets and meet iconic monuments such as the Shirvanshah Palace, the Maiden Tower, the Gosha Gala Gate, the Miniature Book Museum and the Gothic-style Ismailiyya Palace, with a stop at the lush gardens of the Philharmonic. Afterwards, a panoramic tour of the modern city follows with a visit to Highland Park, from where we enjoy spectacular views of the city and the Caspian Bay. We get a close-up view of the impressive Flame Towers and take a cable car ride up. This is followed by a visit to the Carpet Museum and a walk along Baku's beautiful coastal boulevard. In the afternoon we stop at the commercial and lively Nizami Street and Fountain Square. Then we visit the architectural gem Heydar Aliyev Center and the imposing Heydar Mosque. In the afternoon we enjoy dinner at a traditional restaurant, where taste is combined with cultural experience in a place full of history and atmosphere. Return to the hotel and overnight.

DAY 3 

Excursion to Gobustan and the Absheron Peninsula In the morning we depart for our nature and history excursion. First stop at Gobustan National Park, Gobustan is one of the most important archaeological sites in Azerbaijan. It was declared a national historical monument in 1966 to protect the rock paintings, mud volcanoes and the "Gaval Das" resonating stones. Since 2007 it has been included in UNESCO's World Heritage Sites, with impressive rock paintings depicting prehistoric people, hunting scenes and rituals, as well as animals - even marine species such as dolphins and whales, which no longer exist in the Caspian Sea. After lunch, we continue with visits to the Bibi-Heybat Mosque, the Zoroastrian Fire Temple Ateshgah, and the Yanar Dag Flaming Mountain, where fire burns ceaselessly on the ground. Return and overnight at our hotel in Baku. 

DAY 4 

Shopping and departure After having breakfast, we start the day with a walk to the local bazaars Yashil Bazar and Sharg Bazar, where we can discover local products, spices, sweets and souvenirs. In the afternoon there is free time for lunch at a restaurant of your choice. Then visit modern shopping malls like Crescent Mall or Deniz Mall for the latest shopping and relaxation. In the afternoon we return to the hotel for rest.

DAY 5

Transfer to the airport and return flight Shortly after midnight, transfer to the airport to take the flight back home. Arrival in Athens full of beautiful memories and experiences.
