Meeting at Macedonia Airport at 17:00 where we will depart for Tel Aviv with a direct flight of Aegean Airlines at 19:05. Arrival at Ben Gurion airport at 21:15 and transfer to Jerusalem. Settle in the rooms. Overnight stay.
09/07 WEDNESDAY : JERUSALEM - BETHANY - HODZEBAS - HIERICHO
Breakfast and departure for the city of Bethany, where we will visit the Holy Monastery of Mary and Martha and then St. George Hodjeva. We continue to the monastery of St. Gerasimos the Jordanian, referred to as the oldest monastery in Palestine. Our next stop is at the Jordan River for Holy Communion at the actual site of the Baptism of the Lord. Visit to the monastery of Prof. Elisha with the sycomora of the publican Zacchaeus and crossing the city of Jericho we will visit Mount Sarentario, where the Lord lived 40 days of fasting and prayer before beginning His world-saving work. Return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight.
10/07 THURSDAY : JERUSALEM - BETHLEHEM
Breakfast and departure for the desert of Judea. Crossing the Shepherds' Village we will visit the Monastery of St. Sabbas and Abba Theodosius the Parliamentarian where the Holy Cave of the Three Wise Men is located. A visit to the Basilica of the Nativity and a pilgrimage to Fatni and the cave where the Lord was born. Next visit to the monastery of Simeon the Theodochos (Katamonas), and the Holy Cross Monastery. Returning to Jerusalem, we will visit Gethsemane, where we will venerate the Tomb of the Virgin Mary and the Tombs of the Theotokos Joachim and Anne and the tomb of the tomb of Joseph. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight stay.
11/07 FRIDAY: JERUSALEM
Breakfast. Visit to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, where we will be received by His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III. Visit to the Holy Church of the Resurrection, where we will see and venerate the Holy Sepulchre, the Deposition, the horrible Calvary, the place where the Holy Cross was found, the non-mu Aptou, etc. We continue with the Street of Martyrdom, the Praetorium, the house of the Theotokos Joachim and Anna and the Monastery of St. Stephen. We will visit Zion Hill, the Hyperion, the house of St. John the Theologian, the Tomb of David. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight stay.
12/07 SATURDAY : JERUSALEM - THABOR - NAZARETH - CANA
Breakfast. Departure for the Upper Galilee to Mount Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration of the Lord. Ascent by taxi to the top of the mountain, where the Greek Orthodox monastery of the Transfiguration of the Saviour is located. We head to the Holy Church of the Immaculate Conception in Nazareth. East of Nazareth on the road to Lake Tiberias we meet the Cana of Galilee, where the Lord performed the first miracle by turning water into wine.
13/07 SUNDAY : JERUSALEM - LYDIA - TEL AVIV - ATHENS - THESSALONIKI
Breakfast and free day in the Old Town, where you can visit the various small monasteries within the Old Town. Transfer to the airport, and visit on the way to St. George the Trophy Bearer. Aegean flight at 19.55 we fly to Thessaloniki with a stopover in Athens. Arrival in Thessaloniki at 00:40.
