19/10 MONDAY: ORMYLIA – THESSALONIKI – ATHENS – CAIRO
Meet at 7:30 p.m. at “Macedonia” Airport in Thessaloniki, where we’ll depart for Cairo on an Aegean Air flight at 9:50 p.m., with a stopover in Athens. Arrival in the capital of Egypt at 2:50 a.m. Upon arrival, our representatives will handle the formalities. Transfer to Cairo and to the hotel. Check-in. Overnight stay.
20/10 TUESDAY: CAIRO
Breakfast and departure to visit the Giza Plateau, home to the pyramids of Khufu, Menkaure, and Khafre, as well as the famous Sphinx, a depiction of Khafre with the body of a lion. Our next stop is the Grand Egyptian Museum, one of the largest and most modern museums in the world dedicated to a single civilization. We’ll have the opportunity to admire thousands of artifacts from ancient Egypt, with the highlight being the Tutankhamun collection, which is being displayed almost in its entirety for the first time, including the famous golden mask and his personal belongings. We continue with a visit to a papyrus and perfume workshop. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight stay.
21/10 WEDNESDAY: CAIRO – ALEXANDRIA – CAIRO
Breakfast and departure for Alexandria, the city founded by and home to Alexander the Great. During our tour, we will visit the Hellenistic quarter and the Monument to the Unknown Soldier. Visit to the Cathedral of Saint Savvas, the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, Cavafy’s house (optional), and the site of the famous library. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit to the new Library of Alexandria, a unique architectural achievement. Return to Cairo in the late afternoon. Optionally, we recommend a two-hour cruise on a floating restaurant against the backdrop of enchanting Cairo. Overnight stay.
22/10 THURSDAY: CAIRO – SUEZ CANAL – SINA
Breakfast and departure for the Holy Monastery of St. Catherine on the sacred Mount Sinai. We cross the Suez Canal via a tunnel to travel from Africa to Asia. We continue along the Red Sea and, passing through small towns, enter the heart of the Sinai Peninsula. Arrival in Sinai. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner. For those who wish and are able, an optional hike to the Holy Summit on Mount Horeb, where Moses received the Ten Commandments (3–4 hours on foot). Hikers should be equipped with a flashlight and appropriate clothing (athletic shoes and a jacket). Overnight stay.
23/10 FRIDAY: SINA – CAIRO
Very early in the morning, we will attend the Divine Liturgy. We will be guided by the Coptic priests inside the church, where we will venerate the holy relics of Saint Catherine and receive the symbolic ring; we will admire the Byzantine icons, the sacred relics—Jethro’s well and the burning yet unconsumed bush. Breakfast, then we depart by road for Cairo. En route, we’ll visit the women’s Monastery of the Prophet Moses in Faran. Return to Cairo and check-in at the hotel. Dinner. Overnight stay.
24/10 SATURDAY: CAIRO – ATHENS – THESSALONIKI – ORMYLIA
Breakfast and departure to visit the Church of St. George the Trophy-Bearer, a place of pilgrimage for both Christian and Muslim Arabs. Here you’ll also find the Holy Cave where the Holy Family took refuge during their flight to Egypt. Next, we’ll visit the Church of St. Nicholas, where St. Nektarios’s cell is located. We’ll then visit the colorful Khan El Khalili bazaar, perfect for shopping and soaking up the authentic local atmosphere. Lunch at a local restaurant, followed by transfer to Cairo Airport, where we’ll board an Aegean Air flight at 8:00 p.m. bound for Athens and then on to Thessaloniki. Arrival at 12:40 a.m. and return to our city.

- Registration is considered valid upon payment of a deposit of 400 euros per person by August 16, 2026.
- Final payment and presentation of new-style passports must be made no later than September 25, 2026.
- For cancellations up to 61 days before departure, the deposit will be refunded. Cancellations made 60–41 days before departure are permitted, but the deposit will not be refunded. In the event of cancellation 46–1 days before departure, the full amount of the tour will be retained.
