O destinaciji

Formirana masivnom vulkanskom erupcijom koja je dala povod za legendu o Atlantidi, Santorini je najupečatljivije ostrvo u Egejskom moru. Ostrvo je zapravo spoljašnji obod potonulog vulkana, a cela njegova istočna obala je niz malih gradova smeštenih na visokim brdima. Fira je dramatično pozicionirana prestonica ostrva. Smešten na liticama iznad mora, grad Fira deli sa Partenonom slavu najpoznatijih slika Grčke. Uske ulice su prepune prodavnica suvenira, prelepih butika i brojnih zlatara. Grad ima dve prelepe crkve, Grčku pravoslavnu i Katoličku katedralu Svetog Jovana Krstitelja. Tu se nalazi i mali lokalni muzej. Noćni život u Firi je takođe veoma živ, sa dobrim restoranima i barovima, kao i nekoliko noćnih klubova. Sam grad je pravi spektakl, sa vrhuncem u vreme zalaska sunca. Još jedno sjajno mesto za uživanje u zalasku sunca je gradić Ia, malo selo koje se drži za stenoviti rt na severnom vrhu ostrva, 300 metara iznad mora.
